Will this coincidence be converted to an incident?

World Cup 2007, the "War of the Cricketing Nations". After having lost to Bangladesh and enjoying an emphatic victory over the minnows Bermuda, Can India continue on going forward to win the world cup 2007? Here are some interesting coincidences!!

1. Captain of India in 1983 was Kapil Dev and now in 2007 is Rahul Dravid - Both the captains have their second name starting with the same character 'D'
2. The captain of India before 1983 was Sunil Gavaskar and the captain of India before 2007 world cup was Sourav Ganguly - Both the x-Captains have their first characters of their names the same 'SG'
3. Both the players Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly open the Indian innings when they played for the world cup in 1983 and 2007 respectively
4. After world cup 1983, the next world cup was played in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and similarly World cup 2011 would be played at India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
5. Prince Charles got married in 1981, exactly 2 years before India won the world cup. Now again he got married in 2005, exactly 2 years before 2007 world cup.
6. Australia lost the Ashes cup before 1983 world cup. Similarly Australia lost the ashes cup before 2007 world cup.

So will India win? In 1983 India stopped West Indies becoming a hat-trick world cup champions. Will India stop Australia from becoming a hat-trick world cup champions in 2007?

Visu,

You missed one more.

The then captain Kapil Dev and present captain Rahul Dravid, wear 'Jetty' when playing for world cup.

In 2003 there were some 20 odd coincidences that were identified to link India and winning world cup.

So conclusion is CUT THIS CRAP.... :-))

Cheers,
Kiran....

Dei, first of all, it is ludicrous to see people blowing out of proportions such small insignificant coincidences. It's like writing a small scale Dan Brown novel. And more than that, it's even more dissappointing to see such a post on your blog. This entry brings down your blog's reputation. Please delete it...
