The Boss - Legend is back
Today could be called "Yet Another" Diwali for Tamilnadu. The most expected "Sivaji, the boss" , starring Rajnikanth (Oops! did I miss something??) "SuperStar" Rajnikanth, directed by the Shankar, music composed by A.R.Rahman has been screened today for public. No wonder the hype is beyond horizons. CNN IBN has this on the major note today. Nearly 12 minutes of their news session spoke about the Boss. Movie has been screened across 600 theatres and an estimated load back of nearly 80 crores. Though there was a restriction in Karnataka stating that atmost only 4 theatres can screen a same movie across Karnatake, Bangalore itself had screened this movie in 3 theatres. All major ones INOX, PVR Cinemas, (scratching my head for the third). Rumours about the story line has already been on papers and they would be justified in few hours from now. Have all these stats aside, what is that which created such an interest for this movie??
1. A movie by Rajnikanth after nearly 2 years?
2. Media hype?? - Flash news talking about Sivaji's trailer being shown in CNN IBN in the advertisement break at XX::YY hours.
3. Shankar's movie?? When Rajnikanth shakes his hand with Shankar??
4. A high budget movie, costlier than any other movie in India?
5. Name of movie, as it holds the original name of Rajnikanth?
Having big legends like Big B and SRK, can they be compared with Rajni? I never have seen such hype for any of theirs. What makes the difference between them? Definitely anyday, Big B is a performer. He concentrates more on his role, but the Big Boss has a blend of performance, comedy, STYLE. Is this the one which makes the difference or the hype created in the Kollywood??
